Thomas More Square - More Square Feet Let

Newton Perkins has been singularly active in this regenerated 600,000 sq ft office and retail campus on the now in vogue eastern side of the City. Thomas More Square (now rebranded TMSq) links with the vibrant St Katharine's Dock complex which has similarly seen a resurgence in fortune and has experienced remarkable rental growth over recent months.

Firstly, we advised major Japanese shipping company Mitsui OSK Lines in pre-letting 31,000 sq ft over two upper floors of the tower building - 3 Thomas More Square.  Following their occupation of the space, they now enjoy enviable 360 degree views.

Shortly thereafter Newton Perkins was appointed by REM (the London-based asset managers for Qatari assets in London including the Shard) in respect of marketing 80,000 sq ft within numbers 2, 3 and 5 Thomas More Square. All of this space was previously occupied by News Corp (following their move to the “Baby Shard” at London Bridge Quarter).  Despite being short term “fag-end” leases, we have successfully let: 28,860 sq ft to Digital Windows, 11,500 to Electric Word and a further 29,000 sq ft is under offer awaiting imminent exchange of contracts. This leaves only 11,500 sq ft still available after only 4 months marketing!

Land Securities are due to complete their refurbishment of the buildings in April this year and to finish their revamp of the whole complex, including the new retail and leisure offering in late summer.
