Acting on behalf of INTO University Partnerships at its
50,000sf facility in 100 Middlesex Street , E1 Newton Perkins’ pursued a series
of 11 (eleven!) appeals, including references to both the Valuation Tribunal
for England and the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) where the final appeal was
settled by Consent Order.
Our rating expertise realised a range of results to
benefit our client’s finances. These included reducing parts of the assessment
to RV £0, a reduction in the overall assessment of nearly 10% or around
£120,000 (from an original RV of £1.23m - saving the client something over
£400,000 over the period of the 2010 list) and also in changing the “effective
dates” so limiting the period for which our client was liable.
