City of London Monument site bought by Skanska

London’s 330 year old Monument tower, built between 1671 and 1677 by Sir Christopher Wren, is set to be graced by a further new office building following Skanska’s purchase of the long-leasehold interest of 11-15 Monument Street. It is believed Swedish multinational construction company Skanska will be occupying the building themselves following construction. The purchase follows 3 years of uncertainty over the building’s future.

On the south side of The Monument, Rockspring and Charterfield are on site with the construction of their new 75,000 sq ft office building, Monument Place, 24 Monument Street. Newton Perkins is the retained letting agent. For more information, please click here.
