Newton Perkins Welcomes Hot Summer of Deals

August and September were widely forecast to see a slow down of lettings, accentuated by the London Olympics and the Paralympics.

Not our experience! We have concluded a wide range of lettings over the past six weeks, including the ground floor of Martin House, Martin Lane, EC4 for USS and the ground floor at 8/9 Lovat Lane for Threadneedle Investments.

A complex leasing and surrender transaction (including a Chinese Wall) was agreed for landlord, Mars Pension Trustees, with NP also acting for Catalina regarding the 6,200 sq ft 5th floor at 18 Mansell Street  involving a simultaneous surrender of the 4th floor.

Acting for Saxan Securities, we have let 5,600 sq ft in 55 King William Street ( over Monument Underground Station ) to Informa Group; whilst the lease over two floors in 47 Mark Lane (15,600 sq ft) has been successfully re-structured with AXA on behalf of Land Securities.

Occupier clients for whom new offices have been found include Beach & Associates in New London House (next door to Fenchurch Street Station), lawyers Waterson Hicks ( moving to 40 Clifton Street); and IMAS in their relocation to 106 Leadenhall Street.
