Pinnacle to Reach New Point
of developers led by AXA Real Estate advised by Lipton Rodgers has announced
details of its re-designed proposals for the Pinnacle development including
re-branding as “22 Bishopsgate”.
The tower scheme
designed by PLP Architects will offer 1.4 million sq ft of offices over 62
floors. At 912 ft, the building , though
33 ft lower than the previous proposal, will still set a new benchmark
height for City “skyscrapers”.
The build is
projected for completion by 2018. It
will compete directly with Mitsubishi’s 42 storey 6-8 Bishopsgate and
schemes such as Brookfield’s 100 Bishopsgate and TIAA Henderson’s 40 Leadenhall Street over (a mere!) 40 storeys.
