Insurance brokers, BMS Limited, advised by
Newton Perkins will be moving to a new
headquarters at One America Square, EC3.
The 70,000 ft office is spread over three
floors of the iconic thirteen storey tower
adjacent to Fenchurch Street station.
Henderson Global Investors have acquired the
freehold office investment at 15/18 Austin
Friars, EC2. Advised by Newton Perkins, the
purchaser paid £16.5m for the property which
is let to Deutsche Bank AG until 2018.
Software company, Rolfe & Nolan Limited,
will be vacating their City Road, EC1
headquarters following surrender of the
lease on the 26,000 ft building. Advised
throughout by Newton Perkins, the company
have leased four upper floors totalling
22,300 sq ft in 120 Leman Street, E1.
Land Securities has instructed Newton
Perkins to market three fully refurbished
floors in their 70,000 sq ft medium rise
tower, New London House, EC3.
The property management department at Newton
Perkins has won instructions on both 1 Great
Tower Street (45,000 sq ft) and 50 Fenchurch
Street (38,500 sq ft) in EC3.
Following establishment of an exclusive web
link direct from off the website for the
Insurance Times (the most widely read
insurance publication) viewer traffic has
doubled over the past six months. The web
link allows exclusive weekly readership of
80,000 to view Newton Perkins marketed
properties.
The rating revaluation of commercial
properties (effective from April 2005) has
resulted in significant activity for the
rating department of Newton Perkins,
analysing clients' liabilities and where
appropriate advising on procedures to appeal
against increases.
