Gherkin in a Pickle

One of London's best-known buildings "The Gherkin" at 30 St Mary Axe, EC3, is soon to be put up for sale.

Originally developed by major occupier Swiss Re, the fully let and income producing 516,000 sq ft building is expected to be offered for sale by the consortium of lenders for a figure in excess of £600 million when it comes to market later in 2014.

The building was bought by IVG and Evans Randall in 2006 but was put into receivership in April 2014.
