Newton Perkins Springs Into Action

A notable number of freehold sales and purchases have been one of the primary features of Newton Perkins agency successes in early 2014.

Solicitors Pro Legal saw a 35% leap in value when selling their Dysart Street, EC2 building only two years after purchase.

After several years of lettings for Cardinal Lysander, then Beltane Group at 62/63 Mark Lane, EC3, Newton Perkins advised insurers DBP Group in the purchase of the freehold for their own occupation for £4.75 million. Similarly, having acted in lettings for many years, we advised the trustees in the sale of 8 Devonshire Row, EC2, just opposite the new Four Seasons hotel and part of the Heron Tower complex.

Higher levels of occupier demand have been reflected in a wide range of lettings in buildings such as 85 Gracechurch Street, 10 Lloyds Avenue, John Stow House and 52 Paul Street, together with lease re-gearings at 120 Leman Street, E1.

Occupier clients have included London’s fast rising business newspaper, City A.M. relocating to Fountain House in Fenchurch Street and consumer debt purchase company Cabot Financial moving to Aldermary House, Queen Street. Other clients who will be re-locating include Advanced Payment Solutions to London Bridge City, SE1, whilst Beach & Associates have re-negotiated their lease and expanded within New London House.

New letting instructions have been secured at minster Court from Liberty Mutual Group; at 5 Old Bailey, EC4 from A & A Investments; and at 60 Gracechurch Street and 20 Fenchurch Street (the Walkie-Talkie) from Tokio Marine Kiln.
