Office Space in EC4

Situated in the south-west of the City, office space in EC4 benefits from access to excellent transport links, public gardens, and a prestigious address.

The area is littered with historic landmarks, the most iconic of which is St Paul’s Cathedral, which sits on top of Ludgate Hill, at the highest point in the City. Built in the 17th century, Sir Christopher Wren’s building is actually a relative newcomer to the site, which has been home to a cathedral dedicated to St Paul for more than one thousand four hundred years.

EC4 is also the location of Fleet Street, which until recently was considered to be the home of the British Press. In 2005 Reuters became the last news agency to move out of Fleet Street, and now the EC4 office space is largely occupied by investment banking, legal, and accountancy firms.

The East Central area of the City has good transport links to both the Underground and the national railways. Blackfriars, Mansion House, Cannon Street and Monument are all situated on the Circle and District lines, while St Paul’s is on the Central line. Blackfriars station runs trains northwards to St Albans, Bedford and Luton, and southwards to Brighton, Sutton and Sevenoaks. Moorgate station is just a short walk away with services running to Hertford.

Businesses occupying office space in EC4 benefit from being within close proximity to two public gardens. Carter Lane Gardens, and Festival Gardens were both opened in the 1950s, making use of bomb-damaged land, and provide a welcoming outdoor space for a lunchtime picnic.
