Newton Perkins - Summer Leasin'

We've been very active in Royal Mint Court, EC3, agreeing short-term lease extensions comprising 70,000 sq ft for various occupier clients including Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd, Andrew Weir Shipping and ETC Venues. World-leading shipping company MOL will be moving their European headquarters to two floors of the 32,000 sq ft 3 Thomas More Square and enjoying panoramic views.

Coincidentally Newton Perkins has been instructed by REM to market 80,000 sq ft in Thomas More Square (pictured). Various floors ranging in size from 11,000 sq ft to 15,000 sq ft are offered on short-term leases following News UK’s relocation to the “Baby Shard”.

Newton Perkins acted for a private client in marketing the freehold of 6,000sq ft at 112-114 Houndsditch which, after competitive bidding with a “Chinese wall” in place, was purchased by One Properties Group.

We have advised long standing client, French bank CIC, which has been in the City for nearly 120 years, in acquiring 15,000 sq ft in Finsbury Circus House from Union Square Properties.

Two “chinese wall” deals involved floors totalling 14,000 sq ft in 8 Eastcheap, acquired for conference and training venue company ETC Venues from landlord the City Corporation; and Fountain House on Fenchurch Street on behalf of City AM.

Two notable letting campaigns have resulted in our clients having fully-let investments. The first floor has been let in Bradley Investments’ 20,000 sq ft building, 50 Mark Lane. For Walbrook Land, funded by Palmer Capital Partners we let the last floor In the splendidly refurbished 17,000 sq ft office and retail building at 103 Cannon Street, EC4 prior to sale of the asset for £17.2m (a market leading 4.6% yield) - allowing our client to double their money on exit.

In Ibex House, Minories, Newton Perkins is currently transacting 46,000 sq ft over several floors to build upon the 20,000 sq ft recently let to Capita Insurance Services.
